Advanced Audio Production

In NYU's Advanced Audio Production course, I developed experience in recording artists and music ensembles of all sizes while utilizing the SSL Duality, ProTools HD and high-standard microphones in the James L. Dolan Studio.

 

Furthermore for nearly every session, I considered and compared studio recording techniques which centered around instruments, hall acoustics, and recording aesthetics.

By the end of my graduate school tenure, I learned how to:

- Explain and defend recording technique choices, including instrument and microphone placement in the studio, stereo system, surround/immersive systems, and headphone monitoring.

- Assess and evaluate professional recording studio etiquette/challenges that arise before/during/after the setup
